Author and director

Born in Paris in 1970, Sylvia Conti first worked as an actress: after graduating from the National Conservatory in 1995, she performed in theaters for around twenty years. At the same time, she completed her education at La Fémis in screenwriting in 2002, then in documentary filmmaking in 2004. Her first film, Le père fourchette, produced by Alexandre Cornu at Les Films du Tambour de Soie, received the Brouillon d’un rêve grant from the Scam in 2005 and was selected for the États généraux du film documentaire in Lussas in 2007. It was broadcasted on the channel "Images Plus" and has since been added to the Kandinsky Library of the Pompidou Center. Her second film, Nom de noms, developed at the Ateliers Varan in 2014, received the Brouillon d’un rêve grant from the Scam in 2015. Produced by Maud Huynh at Gloria Films, it was selected for the Corsica.Doc Festival 2019 in the New Talents competition. Distributed by Script Line, it was broadcasted on the Polish channel iTVN.
