French director and journalist
Charlotte Marie, born in 1984 in Paris, studied History and Political Science at the Sorbonne and graduated from the Toulouse School of Journalism in 2009. For the past 13 years, she has been a director of magazines and societal documentaries. She notably received the Schoendoerffer Award for her film Volontaires du service militaire : l'année qui va changer leur vie, which aired in February 2016 on the show "Zone Interdite" on M6. Last year, she served as the chief editor of a documentary series broadcast on France 5, Nous Présidents.
Charlotte Marie completed a three-month diploma course in documentary filmmaking at Ateliers Varan. She directed the documentary Quelques heures d’évasion, featuring portraits of prison visitors, which was broadcast on May 11, 2023, on France 3 Ile de France as part of "La France en vrai."
