When will it end?

Lê’s cousin has been convicted of drug use and trafficking. Her village and the whole region have been hit hard by drugs which are affecting almost every family. Having already lost one very close friend, the filmmaker tries to understand what this scourge really means. The day before the trial, in her aunt’s ravioli restaurant, she talks to the other customers about this curse which has now poisoned two generations since the 90s when Vietnam was opened up to the rest of the world, but also since the discovery of deposits of gold in the region which have attracted all kinds of adventurers and traffickers…
