Synopsis
The oldest in her family, at 14 years old, Sahar is a brilliant student. Polite, smiling and patient, she is already quite like an adult. Her father has taught her to weave carpets, and now she not only goes to school but is also in charge of the family workshop. As such, she is responsible for her two brothers and for forming 5 apprentices. The family has chosen not to exploit the children but to allow them to continue their studies at the same time as working. Far from being a fairy tale, this story shows today’s reality in Afghanistan.
