Born in 1964, Eva Stefani studied political science at the University of Athens, film, and ethnographic film at New York University, and also attended the Ateliers Varan. She is a documentary filmmaker, visual artist, and poet, working with video and Super 8 film. Her films are regularly selected and awarded at international festivals such as Cinéma du Réel, FIPA, DocLisboa, and others. She teaches at the University of Athens and is a guest professor at the Freie Universität Berlin. She also participates in international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale 2019 and Documenta14 in Athens and Kassel in 2017.
