Born in Paris in 1958, Frederic Goldbronn graduated from EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales), then from INTD (Institut National des Techniques de la Documentation, Audiovisual option), before training in documentary filmmaking with the Ateliers Varan in 1993. He has made several documentary films and published essays on documentary cinema. Since 2000, he is head of Vidéadoc, the film and audiovisual creation resource centre, and was head of training for the ‘Images en bibliothèques’ association from 2002 to 2015. He has been a documentary filmmaking trainer and member of the Ateliers Varan since 2014.
