Synopsis
Tham wanted to make a film about the status and role played by the eldest son in a traditional Vietnamese family.
To do so, she returned to her parents' home village during the harvesting season.
She met a cousin whose grandfather had tried to explain to him the family history, the traditions, the privileges and duties of the eldest son.
The grandson, unlike the other young boys of his age who leave the rural areas to go to the city, has accepted to stay on in the village. And yet, he feels that some traditions belong to bygone days.
