Daniel Drumond
Director
Daniel Drumond was born in 1993, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He started his degree in Social Communication at the University of São Paulo in 2013, where he had his first contact with cinema and developed his first audiovisual works. Since 2015, he has been working as a freelance professional videomaker, developing projects for large companies, social projects, artists, NGOs and universities
He won that year the first place in an Alliance Française video contest, when he had the opportunity to study French in Aix-en-Provence.
In addition to advertising and internal communication projects of these organizations, he has recently produced the institutional video of The City Needs You Institute, the documentary "Transformadores.doc" for Colab.re, a citizen-to-government engagement online platform, and the documentary “Uma Pontinha de Sabores” in the Quilombo of Pontinha, a hinterland settlement founded by people of African origin who escaped from slavery.
After the experience in Recife with the Ateliers Varan, Daniel prepares a new documentary in the Quilombola community in early 2017 with the Instituto Sustentar and the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
