Synopsis
At work and with her girlfriends, Djenebou quite often comes up against the language barrier. She can dialogue and communicate easily with people who speak sign language but being understood by the people who can hear is very hard. So, who in fact are the deaf ones? The one who can’t hear or the ones who can’t understand body language?

Dominique Haller
Dominique Haller was born and raised in Winterthur, Switzerland. She holds a Lizentiat (Master of Arts) in Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, and German Literature from the University of Basel, Switzerland, and has worked as an independent documentary filmmaker in Switzerland, France, and the United States for several years. She studied Art at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and obtained her Master in Fine Arts in 2014. She lives and works in Madison, and is currently an adjunct faculty member for art and art history at Madison College.
