Mahmoud Farag
Director
Born in 1982 in Alexandria, Egypt and deceased in 2013, Mahmoud Farag was an independent filmmaker and writer. He got a Bachelor in Arts in Arabic Language and Education from the Al-Azhar University in Cairo in 2005 and in Scriptwriting and cinema studies from the High Cinema Institute in Cairo in 2010. He worked as a director and writer from 2005 to his death and participated in several films and series. Member of the Egyptian Cinema Professions Syndicate, he was also a trainee at Ateliers Varan in 2011 and 2012.

Between 2011 and 2015, filmmaking workshops are set up. Tutors tried to initiate the participants into the distinctive characteristics of the documentary eye.
